Supporting the organizations that support the community
The work you do is vital to the communities you serve. You guide, heal, advocate, house, teach and protect. That's hard work and it takes a toll.
Minwamon Consulting partners with Indigenous service providers to strengthen teams, sustain leadership, and reduce the hidden impact of burnout and vicarious responsibility.
By supporting the people behind essential services, we help organizations build stability, improve outcomes, and move forward together — stronger and more resilient.

What Our Clients Say
I was feeling overwhelmed both personally and professionally. That feeling kept me from living my life in a meaningful way. After only a couple of Path Clearing sessions, I gained the confidence to start making good decisions. My decisions lead me to getting a job, finding a girlfriend, I started travelling and taking a course that has opened up new and exciting opportunities for me!
Jordan
After just one session I was able to move forward - I haven’t been able to do that with my own therapist. Anna uses a special technique that allows me to remember without pain!
Jac
In just a few visits, Anna has made a profound impact on my well-being! My anxiety and over-thinking has been greatly reduced and I whole-heartly recommend Minwamon Mentoring and Anna Gibbon.

Anna Gibbon

My traditional Ojibwa name translates to Trailblazing Woman—a path that reflects both my lived experience and my life’s work.
My career spans corrections, crisis negotiation, conflict resolution, restorative justice, HR, municipal Indigenous relations, and the justice system. I became the first crisis negotiator at my institution, later founded Open Communications, and went on to support organizations locally and internationally—including work with police services in the Eastern Caribbean and restorative justice training for Indigenous service providers across Northwestern Ontario.
With a business diploma (HR focus) and my CHIRP designation, I strengthened workforce capacity in the private sector and helped reduce recidivism from 72% to 40% through effective training, leadership development, and systems-focused support. Wanting to work closer with community, I became the first Aboriginal Liaison for the City of Thunder Bay, where I helped establish the City’s first Elders Council, led strategic planning, and supported formal commitments between the City, urban Indigenous Peoples, and Fort William First Nation—rebuilding a relationship that had been disconnected for a decade. In 2013, I was appointed a full-time presiding Justice of the Peace, becoming the first woman appointed to the bench in Thunder Bay in over 20 years. After retiring in 2023, I founded Minwamon Consulting, bringing together decades of frontline and leadership experience with a deep understanding of historical, vicarious, and workplace trauma. Today, I partner with organizations to reduce burnout, strengthen leadership and team capacity, and support sustainable outcomes so the people doing vital community work can continue it with steadiness and care. Outside of work, my most important roles are wife and mother. I love travel and photography, and I’m grateful to live a traditional life in my home territory where I celebrate my culture and give back as a singer and hand drummer.
